Please note that as of January 3, 2012, the Merced Vision 2015 General Plan (adopted in 1997) has been replaced by the Merced Vision 2030 General Plan, which was adopted by the City Council on January 3, 2012.  Please refer to the "General Plan Update" page for information on the newly adopted General Plan.  These pages for the 1997 General Plan will be deleted in the coming weeks, however, copies of the Merced Vision 2015 General Plan will be retained by the City if anyone wishes to obtain a copy for historic purposes.  Please contact the City Planning Division at (209) 385-6858 for more information.

The Merced Vision 2015 General Plan, winner of the "1997 Comprehensive Planning Award for a Small Jurisdiction" from the California Chapter of the American Planning Association, was adopted by the Merced City Council in April 1997.
