Bicycle Advisory Commission

The Bicycle Advisory Commission (BAC) serves as an advisory body to the City of Merced. The BAC has the responsibility of reviewing and advising the City Council on:
  • The design of capital improvement projects.
  • Changes and updates to the Bicycle Master Plan, General Plan, and Municipal Code as they relate to bicycling.
  • Promoting bicycling as a viable form of transportation and assist in the development and dissemination of bicycle awareness and education materials to the community.
  • Any other duties as the City Council may proscribe.

The Commission consists of seven registered City of Merced voting members who serve four year terms of office, with two ex-officio non-voting members at City Council discretion. Regular meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every even numbered month during normal business hours.
