BATTER UP BATTING CAGES

Located at 2200 Yosemite Parkway in the back of Joe Herb Park. We offer hardball, fast pitch softball, and slow pitch softball with adjustable speeds and strike zones. Our machines are token operated. One dollar per token equals 15 pitches. For every $5.00 you receive an extra token. We have bats and helmets available for customers. Hours are seasonal so please call 769-5541 for up-dates on hours of operation. Thank you.

BALL FIELD TOURNAMENT RENTALS
The Merced City Parks and Community Services Department has established a Ball Field Rental Policy for groups that participate in City Leagues and wish to sponsor tournaments or host other teams in non-department use. Fields available for weekend tournaments are in Sports Complex and Joe Herb Park. The baseball and softball facilities at Merced College may be reserved as well by contacting the College Community Services office at 384-6000.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

Tournament organizers must submit insurance policies for $1,000,000 general liability and $50,000 fire legal liability. The policies must name the City of Merced as additional insured and must be delivered to the Parks and Community Services no later than five days prior to the event. The City of Merced does not provide medical or accident insurance. This responsibility lies with each individual playing on a team.

RATES FOR TOURNAMENT USE
All insurance requirements must be met. One week cancellation notice is required. Costs and terms are subject to change.

Security Deposit of $100
Refundable if facility is left clean
Reservation fee of $75
Due at time of registration
Lights $20/hr. for each field
Facility Supervisor $10/hr for each field
City of Merced Employee
Field Rental of $75/day for each field
Field Preparation $25 for each field prepared
Preparation is required after every fourth game.

FIELD USE/LIGHT RENTAL
The fields below may be available (weather permitting) at a cost of $10 per hour without lights, and $25 per hour for light rental. Call 385.6978 for availability.
