Description The Recycling Division is responsible for collection of all recyclable material within City limits. At this time, this includes scheduled and unscheduled service for residential customers.
Mission To provide the citizens of Merced excellent recycling services, which help meet State mandates, preserve quality of life, and enhance the City’s general appearance.
Goals Provide regular collection of residential, co-mingled, single stream recyclables in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

Recycle It! Don’t think you have enough for a recycle bin? Think again! There are a lot more items you can put in your blue container than you think other than items that have a CA CRV label. Food cans, clean glass jars and bottles; clean paper like cardboard, junk mail, magazines, newspapers, phone books; plastic bottles and jugs like household cleaner bottles, juice and milk jugs.
