The Tax Services Division is comprised of several subdivisions: parks, streets, trees, and downtown maintenance. The Park division is committed to providing the best possible service in maintaining all parks, open space, and athletic fields, as well as lending wide support to the Recreation and Parks Department. With a high degree of professionalism and quality, the Street division performs all necessary maintenance and repairs to the City’s infrastructure, which includes streets, sidewalks, signs, streetlights, and traffic signals.

The Tree division provides excellent full range tree care services to Merced’s urban forest. Their dedication in maintaining the health and vitality of our City trees has earned Merced the distinguished title of “Tree City U.S.A.” The downtown maintenance division strives to keep our vital downtown district clean and inviting to all citizens and visitors while improving areas such as downtown parking lots and Arbor Walkways.
