The Utilities Division of Public Works is comprised of several subdivisions. The Water division, Wastewater/Sewer System division, and Storm Drains make up Utilities. The Water division strives to maintain a continuous supply of clean and safe drinking water while responding to customer requests in a timely manner. The Sewer division maintains over 250 miles of underground pipeline with preventative maintenance and continuous flow monitoring to the Wastewater Treatment Plant south of the city. Customer service and protection of the environment are key factors for the Storm Drain division. All of the Utility Division staff kick into high gear as the weather changes and emergencies arise.
