Housing

California Redevelopment Law (CRL) requires that 20% of all tax increments received by the Agency be used on creating high quality affordable housing to low and moderate income families within the project area and community.  The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Merced has actively participated in the construction of more than 885 housing units as of 2010.  The Agency is in the planning process of creating more than 90 new units with private partner developers in 2012. These homes have ranged from historic Victorian inspired single-family homes to urban loft units on Main Street. Projects have included both market rate and affordable housing units. Click the respective tabs to view the projects in those fields.
