The City has implemented a free Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) network or "Hot Spot" for the Downtown area. The area of coverage is approximate and may vary in strength and availability. Best reception is found at the Bob Hart Square.
This type of wireless data network service is available to computer users with a standard IEEE 802.11g Wi-Fi setup. The SSID to connect to these Hot Spots is called “Cap and Town.” The City does not provide technical support for this Wi-Fi system.
Users who have connectivity problems are to contact a computer service company for assistance.
