City officed closed, MLK Day celebration set
City offices closed Monday, MLK celebration set
The offices of the City of Merced will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, to celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
There will be no trash collection that day. All refuse pickup will be delayed one day the entire week.
The City Council meeting regularly scheduled for the second Monday of the month will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16. at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Merced City Center (City Hall), 678 W. 18th St.
The 22nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. march and celebration will be held on Monday, Jan. 15. The march will line up at 10 a.m. at 8th and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The procession will start at 11 a.m. and proceed towards Main Street.
The program honoring Dr. King will begin at noon at the Merced Theatre and end at 2 p.m.
