City offices closed for July 4th holiday
City offices closed Tuesday for the holiday
Offices for the City of Merced will be closed Tuesday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.
The City Council meeting has been moved to Wednesday, July 5. The regular meeting will be at 6 p.m. but there is a 5 p.m. study session.
There will be no trash collection on July 4. Refuse collection will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. People with collection on Tuesday will have their trash collected Wednesday, etc.
Remember, only safe and sane fireworks are allowed in the City of Merced. Even those can be dangerous in the hands of children or if not handled properly. Keep them out of tall grass, weeds and other flammable materials.
If you are going to be celebrating this holiday with alcohol, be sensible and designate a driver. Make this a happy holiday for everyone.
