Summer @ City Hall accepting applications
Summer @ City Hall offers high school-aged students the opportunity to learn about local government first-hand through tours, field trips and guest speakers.
Students will spend a day at a firehouse, touring the police station, visiting the courts and learning about the city, county and state governments. The two-week program gives insights on how government works and how residents interact with it.
The program is open to students who will be entering grades 9 through 12 this Fall. Students must live in the City of Merced or attend a high school in the City.
Students who complete the program are eligible for a $100 stipend. The program runs from June 18-29th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be based out of the Merced City Hall, 678 W. 18th St.
