City has vacancies on boards, commissions
Make a New Year's Resolution ' don't just talk, participate
It's easy to sit on the sidelines telling your friends what government should do, it's tougher to actually get involved and play an active role in local government.
People have the opportunity to make their voices heard by sitting on the City's boards and commissions.
There are a total of 10 vacancies on six different boards. People interested can go online and find out more information and fill out an application. People without Internet access can obtain a copy of the application from the City Clerk's Office.
The positions are:
Bicycle Advisory Commission, one seat.
Building and Housing Board of Appeals, one seat.
Measure C Oversite Committee, two northern and one central seat.
Personnel Board, one seat.
Recreation and Parks Commission, two seats.
Regional Airport Authority, two seats.
