BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS of MERCED COUNTY HOSTS TRUNK OR TREAT


Community members are invited to attend>


(Merced CA), October 15, 2015 ' The Boys & Girls Club(s) of Merced County will host its annual Trunk or Treat, a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience for the community, on Saturday, Oct. 31.


The event is set for 3 to 6 p.m. at the club, 615 W. 15th St., Merced. Admission is $1. Children 3 and up are welcome; children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.


There will be several trick-or-treat stations, plus a haunted house, carnival games, arts and crafts, face painting and of course candy.


Boys & Girls Club is collecting candy at the club's downtown Merced location as well as at several sites in the community. Sites include: Central Valley Community Bank (337 G St.); Merced School Employees Federal Credit Union (1021 Olivewood Dr.); Radio Merced (1010 W. Main St.) and UC Merced.


The Boys & Girls Club(s) of Merced County, located at the City of Merced's McCombs Youth Center, offers afterschool programs. We focus on: character/leadership development; academic success; health/life skills; arts and crafts; sports and fitness.


The Boys & Girls Club(s) serves approximately 440 boys and girls each year with after-school education and summer programs. We reach about 1,200 youngsters with our events and outreach efforts.
