The City is reaching out to residents to find out what they are thinking through a public forum and Town Hall meetings.
A public forum to obtain comments, ideas and suggestions on the City's recreation programs will be held by a Recreation and Parks Commission subcommittee from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Sound Life International Ministries, 928 W. Main St., Merced.
The Merced City Council will hold the first of its annual Town Hall meetings next week when it travels to Tenaya Middle School, 760 W. 8th St., for a 7 p.m. meeting on Thursday, Jan. 29.
The second Town Hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Rivera Middle School, 945 Buena Vista Dr.
All three sessions are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend and let the officials know what is on their minds. The Town Hall meetings are open to any topics and issues of concern to residents. There will be information tables set up on several City programs at the Town Hall meetings.
