Council policy study session Saturday
A Merced City Council policy setting study session will be held starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in the Sam Pipes Room in the Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St. The session will have the Council lay out its short and long term policy priorities for the City.
The study session will include a review of accomplishments of the last year and an update of the City’s financial outlook.
The Council will discuss the policy priorities for the timeframe of 2014-2016 on topics that include: fiscal stability, economic development, UC Merced, public safety, infrastructure and utilities, external communications and quality of life.
The public meeting is expected to last until approximately 4:30 p.m.
