First Time Home buyer and Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Funding Available
The City of Merced Housing Division has received a grant to assist first time home buyers with the purchase of their new home. Qualified applicants may receive a loan for needed down payment, closing costs and gap financing. A first time home buyer is an individual or family that has not owned a home within the last 3 years.
Additionally, loans are available through this grant for the Home Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program. This program is for current homeowners needing repairs. Types of repairs include replacement of windows, roofs, sewer lines and flooring. Approved applicants can receive up to $50,000 (based on available equity) to upgrade their homes.
