Two of the members are nominated by election by the employees in the classified service, one member is nominated by the Board for appointment by the City Council, and two members are appointed directly by the City Council. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. This position requires the filing of a Statement of Economic Interests under the California Fair Political Practices Act guidelines.
