The Public Information Office strives to maintain an open and transparent government serving the Merced community by improving communications between the City and its residents. The goal of the Public Information Office is to clearly convey information about the City of Merced, its' programs, policies and future plans to the people who live here. Information is delivered through the mass media, the City Web site, the new monthly newsletter and other effective means. The Public Information Office provides support to City staff for media awareness campaigns and suggests ways to enhance public communication.
