Community Aides

The Merced Police Department has one Community Aide that is based out of the South Station and provides translation and assistance with juvenile delinquency, neighbor disputes, the criminal justice system, assistance with the legal system (small claims, etc.), family disputes, truancy, domestic violence, runaways, complaints, visa/immigration clearance, and tenant/landlord disputes.  The Community Aide takes walk-ins and call-ins.  The Community Aide assists Officers, Code Enforcement, the Courts, the Coroner/Sheriff Office, and makes home visits.  In addition, the Community Aide attends events such as Neighborhood Watch Groups, Property Management Meetings, Business District Meetings and regularly attends community events to provide information to the public.  Below is the contact information for the Community Aide.
