Deputy Director of Public Works

The Deputy Public Works Director will assist the Public Works Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the essential functions of the Public Works Department, including refuse, water, wastewater, and storm drain services; maintenance of streets and traffic signals, fleet and facilities maintenance; and maintenance of City parks and trees.

Possession of a current California registration as a Professional Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Traffic Engineer is required.

SALARY: $105,476 - $128,211 (annually), CalPERS retirement benefit

 PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION

The Public Works Department provides a wide variety of services, including Fleet Services for City-owned vehicles, Facilities Maintenance for City-owned buildings, Refuse/Recycling/Green Waste garbage services, Parks and Trees maintenance, Streets, Water, Wastewater, Sewer/Storm Drains, and Water Quality Control.

 The Administration Office provides support to the many divisions of Public Works, while also providing responsive quality service to the general public.  Our office staff is available Monday - Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
