The façade rebate is an incentive program available to commercial property owners in either Project Area 2 or the Gateways redevelopment areas. In exchange for a permanent easement on the building’s façade, the Agency contributes up to one half of the cost of renovation on the exterior of the building. The Agency will contribute up to $150 per linear foot of the building’s street frontage. For example, a building with 35 feet of frontage along Main Street would be eligible for half of the cost of renovation of the building’s façade up to $5,250.00. This is a one-time use program and only complete facades improvements will be considered, paint alone will not qualify.
