Local businesses can learn how to sell their goods and services to local government agencies at an upcoming workshop Wednesday, May 6. There is no charge to attend.
"How to Do Business with Merced Public Agencies and Institutions" is being organized by the University of California, Merced and the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce.
Representatives from the City of Merced, the County of Merced, Merced Union High School District, Merced County Office of Education and Merced College will be on hand to explain the process involved in landing government contracts.
The session will be from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the boys and Girls Club of Merced, 615 W. 15th St. A continental breakfast is provided. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the presentations starting at 9 a.m. Business owners will be able to meet with the purchasing agents starting at 10:15 a.m.
