Spring Clean Up 2011


It’s that time of year again to clean out the house and freshen up the yards.

April 2nd & 3rd, 9th & 10th - 6:30 AM—2:30 PM

Do Bring

Proof that you are a City of Merced Refuse Customer. Your City of Merced water and garbage bill would be best, but we’ll take a driver’s license, PG&E, AT&T, or Cable bill too.

This event is only for City of Merced residential customers with active refuse accounts.

  • Home Appliances & Metal Items are accepted, No Charge!

  • TV’s, Computers, and Electronic equipment are accepted, No Charge!

  • Tires are free, but no more than 9 tires. Please remove tire from the rim.

  • Lawnmowers, weed eaters, and edgers with NO gas or oil in the tank.

  • Propane tanks that are EMPTY and the nozzle REMOVED.

  • You may bring your items in a car, truck, van, or a trailer no longer than 12 feet in length.

  • Take Bulky E-Waste items to the Fairgrounds location.

    Items NOT Accepted

  • Treated lumber, including creosote pole and railroad ties.

  • Batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and other hazardous materials.

  • Construction or contractor debris.

  • Trailers longer than 12 feet in length.

Senior Citizens

If you are currently on our Assisted Refuse Service or you are a senior citizen (55 years

and older), AND have no family or friends that can assist you, please call our office

for assistance with disposing of your trash.
